It is easy to lay tile if you follow certain steps in order. You have to prepare the base floor for tile laying. During this preparation you have to make sure that you remove all the wax, oil, and grease from the floor using a cleaner or some chemical that is safe. After you prepare the floor you have to start from the center of the floor for tiling. You can find the center of the floor through some simple mathematics. When you reach the end of the wall you might end up with a small space where you have to use some narrow cut tiles. It is better to lay loose tiles and check this up.
The next step is to plan how to lay the tile. Open all the cartons and make sure the alternate patterns that you are going to use. If all of them all of the same color then you might consider taking a tile from each carton to use. If different colors are used you have to plan carefully. The next step is to apply the tile cement. This is not necessary if you are using self-sticking tiles. Lay each of them firmly and make sure that there is minimal gap between the tiles.
