Formatting the hard drive will erase all the data in your computer and hence it is necessary to backup all the necessary files before you proceed with formatting. Make sure that you take a backup of the documents, photographs, any games that you need, the drivers needed for the hardware installed in your system, and any software programs that are not in CD but only in your system. Create a boot disk from your system and then you can use this boot disk to reboot your system for formatting. Before that make sure you have taken backup of all the important data. Insert the boot disk in the CD drive and restart the system. Press the necessary key to go to the BIOS setup and make sure that your system boots from the CD drive. Now reboot the system. Upon booting the system will come to the DOS prompt. Now type the command ‘format :’ to start formatting your hard drive. Follow the prompt to complete formatting.

After creating a website it is necessary that you submit your website URL to the google search engine so that it is indexed by the crawler that comes from the google website. If this is done then your homepage would be indexed in the google database. So the next time you search your homepage it will get listed in the search results. You have to submit your website to google using the URL ‘http://www.google.com/addurl/’.
Most of the websites that are submitted might not come in the first page or the second page of the search results. There are many factors that govern this listing. The algorithm used for such listing varies from time to time and it is hard to keep track of it. However there are some basics that you have to follow in order for your website to get listed on the top. Using appropriate, description, title, and alt tags in your webpage is one among them. You have to make sure that you have a unique content on that page. Getting back-links is another factor that is to be considered in order to come to the top.

Any person who wants to give a surprise ring to his girlfriend or dear ones should know the size of the ring that would fit them properly. Only then that gift would be more worth since they can wear it the time you present it to them. One of the ways to know the ring size is to ask her friends or relatives. When they are not around and if you know the place where they keep the ring temporarily, you can take it and draw a trace of it in a paper. Or you can use a small bar soap and press that ring in it to get an imprint. Another way is to slide it in one of your fingers and mark the place where it stands correctly. Later you can find out the size from the area of the mark. If you have any tapered candle you can slide the ring in it and mark the area where it stands and find the size from that too. These are some of the ways that you can try to guess the ring size.

A virtual memory is the memory in the hard drive that is used just like the RAM to improve the performance of the system. You can specify the size of the virtual memory yourself or let the computer manage it. You can increase the virtual memory yourself manually if needed to improve the performance. To do this, right click the My Computer icon in your desktop and select Properties. Now click the performance tab and click virtual memory. In Windows XP you can use the Advanced tab and click settings in the Performance block. Then again in the advanced tab you will find a ‘change’ button in the ‘virtual memory’ block. Click this and you can change it to any value. It is better to note down the current settings in the virtual memory block so that you can use the same value if you want to return to the old settings. There is also an option to let computer manage the virtual memory by itself. You can use this if you encounter any problem in performance. Restart your system for the change to get into effect.
