The acronym for wireless fidelity is Wi-Fi. It is simply a LAN that uses high frequency radio signals for data transmission and reception. The distance to which this transmission and reception can happen is around 200 feet. You can compare this to that of the walkie-talkie. The walkie-talkie operates in a frequency of 49 MHz whereas in Wi-Fi the operating frequency is 5 MHz. The data transfer in walkie-talkie is just 1000 bits per second and in Wi-Fi it is 54 Mega bits per second. Such a high data transfer in Wi-Fi enables it to transfer video and applications which rely on more data.
Wi-Fi helps you to communicate without wires and cables. In a Wi-Fi node the switching between frequencies happen fast and automatically which reduces the interference. In Wi-Fi equipment the digital data is transferred efficiently than a walkie-talkie. The digital data in Wi-Fi (i.e. 1s and 0s) are transferred to radio waves for transmission. In a walkie-talkie the sound waves are transferred to radio waves.

Xbox live is for online gaming experience. It has two levels of subscription the silver and the gold. Silver subscription is free and gold subscription is a paid service. The free subscription can be used by Xbox 360 owners. With the silver subscription you can play only multiplayer games and that too only a few times a month. This limits your capability to play other games frequently. So it is better to go for Xbox gold subscription. All the Xbox 360 comes with a package that allows for gold subscription for one month. Xbox supports up to 16 players at present. This is one drawback in that. In Blackhawk down up to 50 players are supported. Based on the speed of your internet you can choose to play different options. Speeds of 128k, 600k, and 1Mb are supported. All you need is to have a proper network card in your PC. Cat 5 Ethernet cable is needed to use Xbox. Network sharing depends on the operating system that you use.

You would have heard a lot about the term Bluetooth for quite sometime. It is essentially a device that acts as a short-range radio. Several Bluetooth devices can communicate with each other and essentially there will be one master and the other slave. A network of 8 devices in which there will be 1 master and the other 7 as slave is called a piconet.
According to the Bluetooth specifications one or more of such piconet can be combined to form a network called scatternet. Data can be transferred very fast between the master device and the slave device. The role of master and slave could even be switched based on which device transmits the data. When connecting two or more piconet some of the device in one piconet could act as a master for one piconet and it could be the slave for another piconet. Shorter packets of data are transferred in the Bluetooth devices if you compare them with other devices that use the same frequency band.
