There are some basic routine that should be followed while you apply makeup. First a concealer should be applied which is usually of a lighter shade than the foundation. Apply it in dots over the blemishes and under-eye circles and use your finger to apply it. You can also use a makeup sponge to apply it. Now select a foundation that matches your skin and apply it in dots over the entire face. Use a makeup sponge to apply it and then use pressed powder on the face. This pressed powder or loose powder will help keep the foundation and the concealer longer. On the brows, use powdered eyebrow shadow. Many people might use pencil for that, but a powdered shadow is better than a pencil. Pencil will give an unnatural look. Now you can use a thin liner brush or eyeliner pencil to line below the lashes of the lower lid. After this you can use mascara to the lashes. Find the apples in your cheek and apply blush to it. Finally select a lipstick color that suits your skin and apply it.
