If you have experienced fast loading of already visited pages in your browser, it is due to the fact that those pages are stored locally in the cache. Over a period of time many such pages will be stored in your computer and it might eventually slow down the computer. Hence it is necessary to clear the cache periodically so that your computer does not slow down. There is option to clear the browser cache in the browser itself. In internet explorer there is an option to clear the offline content. There is also an option to cache the web pages locally in Internet Explorer; you can disable this option if needed. In browsers like Firefox you have to go to Tools->Options and then select the privacy tab.
In that you will find options to clear history and to remove private data and also the cookies. You can use these options to clear the cache.
