Concrete stains have suspended pigments in it. These pigments are taken in using the solvent or water that is used to stain. Usually this is found in the top 1/16th of an inch to give that unique look to concrete. It is good way to decorate the concrete walls and these have been done even 60 years back. With the concrete stains you can have colors like, black, green, red, and browns. A lot of earth tones can also be created.

You can also recolor the concrete if it has been already stained. There are many types of concrete stains. A mix of metallic salts and muriatic acid is also there. Other concrete stains based on other solvents are also available in the market. Water based stains that are eco-friendly are also available. These eco-friendly stains are usually water based and they are acrylic products. You can even go for some high quality stains that even do not wear with the impact of hot car tires.
