How to install new can light fixtures in my home electrical?

When installing a new can light fixture you have to find out which one of the wire is hot. This is necessary when you work on any electrical circuit. You can use a circuit tester to find out the hot wire. Once you find out the hot wire, make a note of it and then switch of the power. Then remove the fixture if there is anything already. Install the mounting bracket and secure it with the screws given.

Next you have to connect the wires properly. The neutral wire in the ceiling should be connected to the neutral wire in the fixture and the hot wire in the ceiling should be connected to the hot wire in the fixture. Then the ground wire to the ground wire. Use the instructions given for the fixture type you have to fix it properly. Next screw the bulb in to the fixture and turn on the circuit breaker to test the lighting.
