Laser beams are used to treat the top layer of the skin in the laser resurfacing method. In this method the top layer is removed. The middle layer is tightened. After the treatment the skin turns red and it will be like this for a few months. To undergo this treatment you should not have active acne during the treatment. There are ointments and creams that are available in the market to improve the skin which has scars due to acne. You can use such creams and ointments if you have mild scarring due to acne.
