How To Boil Crawfish

Boiling crawfish is easier if you know how to do it. Before you do any boil, you have to purge the crawfish. Purging can be done with salt and there are different ways to do it. While you clean the crawfish with salt, some of them die in the process. You have to remove them as the dead fish would not taste good. Add some salt and water to the crawfish in an ice chest and stir it. You would find that the water gets dirty soon. Then you have to drain the water and then the repeat the process with clean water and see that the water does not turn dirty. Now use an outdoor burner and heat a pot of water. You also need a basket so that you can take the crawfish in and out of the water when needed. Now boil the water in the pot and add some seasonings to it. The seasonings could be salt, pepper, and other herbs to give some flavor. You can add lemon juice to it. Once this comes to the boil, use the basket to cook some sausage, potatoes and corn. You could boil these in the basket for about 15 minutes. When the water boils, now add the crawfish to it and leave it to boil for another 5 to 10 minutes and then turn off the fire and leave it for another 10 minutes.
